About Myself

I am currently a visiting scholar at MPI-INF supervised by Prof. Christian Theobalt and Dr. Thabo Beeler, after an amazing journey at UPenn under the supervision of Prof. Chenfanfu Jiang together with the great help from the simulation group. Graphics is my favorite flavor of computer science. It has significant visual appeal while being based on a solid mathematical foundation. For me, it is especially exciting to build computer-graphics effects indistinguishable from real-world phenomena and to utilize optimization methods to deliver robust and fundamental solutions. I obtained my master's degree in computer graphics from the University of Pennsylvania with a thesis titled hybrid Lagrangian-Eulerian topology optimization. Along the way at Megvii, Napier, UPenn and Disney, I am very fortunate to have some wonderful mentors, they are my group leaders, colleagues, supervisors, PhD students and other interns in my group. Misc

Fitness Journey - I've been overweight for 14 years until I lost 50 pounds in a month when I was 18 through extremely hard training. I've managed to stay in shape for 5 years by now and trying very hard to not get back to the fat boy I was. I'm trying my best to take such determination and discipline into every other fields as well.
